Participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) when entering the Campaign.

  1. The following definitions apply to these Terms and Conditions.

The Promoter

2. The promoter is The METRO Centre, 1st Floor Equitable House, General Gordon Square, London, SE18 6FH (“METRO Charity”) METRO Charity runs the Get it service and website.

Promotion Period

3.The Campaign will be open during the Promotion Period. Signs ups to Get it after the Promotion Period will not be valid or accepted.

Eligibility

4. To be eligible to participate in the Campaign you must be a resident in the Territory and aged between 16 and 24 (“Participant”).

5. Employees or agents of METRO Charity, or their families or households, or anyone professionally connected to the Campaign or any group company of METRO Charity are not eligible to enter.

6. The Campaign is only available to consumers (i.e. not to any business or reseller). Each Participant can only sign up for Get it services once. 

7. Winners must have entered their permissioned email address at www.getit.org.uk

Sign ups

8. A sign up for Get it services must be made by the Participant and must not be made through agents or third parties.

9. Sign up is free.

10. Only one sign up per customer.

11. No purchase necessary.

Receipt of the Gifts

12. METRO Charity will draw seven winners at random in an independently supervised draw which will take place on 1st October 2020.

13. The gifts offered are:

  • 1x £100 Love2Shop voucher
  • 2x £50 Love2Shop vouchers
  • 4x £25 Love2Shop vouchers

14. The Love2Shop prize winner will be notified by post, telephone or email by 31st October 2020. If the prize is not claimed or accepted in 30 days after notification, a new winner will be selected.

15. METRO Charity will use its reasonable endeavours to ensure that delivery of the Gifts is made within twenty-eight (28) days of the prize winner being drawn and notified.

16. Vouchers will be sent out by post via recorded delivery.

17. The vouchers are subject to availability. METRO Charity reserves the right to provide similar substitutes of equal or greater value to the Gifts.

18. The vouches are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and will not be substituted for an equivalent cash value.

Privacy and Data Protection

19. METRO Charity is the Data Controller for the purposes of data protection legislation. Any personal information submitted by the Participant shall be processed in accordance with METRO Charity’s Privacy Policy, which is available to view at https://getit.org.uk/about/confidentiality-policy/

20. METRO Charity reserves the right to withdraw the Promotion at any time before the end of the Promotion Period.

21. METRO Charity reserves the right to refuse to award Gifts to anyone in breach of these Terms and Conditions.

22. METRO Charity reserves the right, acting reasonably and in accordance with all relevant legislation and codes of practice, to vary the Terms and Conditions.

23. METRO Charity will not be responsible or liable for: (a) any failure to receive submissions due to transmission failures and other conditions beyond its reasonable control; (b) any late, lost, misrouted, or damaged transmissions or entries; (c) any computer or communications related malfunctions or failures including but not limited to the Website; (d) any disruptions, losses or damages caused by events beyond METRO Charity’s control; or (e) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Campaign. 

24. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable laws, METRO Charity, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the Participants or accept any liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from participation in or in connection with the Campaign. The above limitation of liability shall not apply to liability arising from fraud (including fraudulent misrepresentation) or death or personal injury caused as a result of METRO Charity’s negligence. The Participants statutory rights are not affected.

25. The Participants will be solely responsible for any and all applicable taxes and any other relevant costs or expenses which are not stated in the Terms and Conditions as being included.

26. The Campaign is governed by English law and the Participants shall submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.
